Aker Solutions has supplied more than 1400 proprietary acid coolers over the last 40 years.

Aker Solutions has been awarded a contract for the supply of an anodically protected, proprietary sulphuric acid cooler to Foskor Ltd, one of the worlds largest producers of phosphate and phosphoric acid. The acid cooler is a proprietary design of Aker Solutions and will be supplied to Foskors phosphoric acid facility in Richards Bay, South Africa.

Researchers expect considerable savings can be made on solar production costs

TU/e researchers want to develop solar cells with an efficiency of over 65 per cent by means of nanotechnology. In Southern Europe and North Africa these new solar cells can generate a substantial portion of the European demand for electricity. The Dutch government reserves EUR 1.2mn for the research.
