Logistics specialist to the energy sector, JJ Black Consultancy Limited, has announced plans to expand its business into Uganda

The UK-based company, which specialises in developing comprehensive asset tracking and fleet management software for oil and mining companies, has launched a new company called JJ Black Consultancy (Uganda) Limited in Entebbe, central Uganda.

The company will provide a range of logistical services to energy companies in Uganda and other parts of Africa.

JJ Black Consultancy managing director Jim Black said, “We have been working in Uganda for some time but have now decided to invest in physical premises and local staff in order to support the services we provide companies both in Uganda and other parts of Africa.

“We are looking forward to expand into Uganda and see it as the gateway for our plans for the rest of Africa. When we gain further customers in Uganda we will be taking on more local employees too.”

JJ Black Consultancy Limited launched an appeal last year to raise £15,000 (US$24,132) to refurbish a derelict school in Buliisa, in the northwest region of Uganda. So far, the appeal had reached almost £5,000 (US$8,043) with further fund-raising initiatives planned.

The company has also been providing a variety of logistical services to companies in Africa, the US and the Caribbean.
