SANY Group, a leading force in the construction machinery industry, will present its latest advancements under the theme 'The World of Efficiency – Your Partner to Create the Best' at bauma 2025

With a focus on high-quality, efficient, and sustainable solutions, SANY will showcase 35 products, including 19 new models and 11 electrified machines, reinforcing its commitment to electrification and adaptability in the European market. SANY (booth FN619, 3,152 sq m) will exhibit alongside Putzmeister (booth B6.100, 2,500 sq m), creating a record-breaking 5,652 sq m combined exhibition space. Attendees can expect global product debuts, CE-certified models, and innovative solutions tailored for international markets.

Advancing electrification and meeting European market demands

SANY will introduce 11 electric machines to the European market for the first time, reinforcing its leadership in sustainable construction technology. Key exhibits include SCC2000A-EV, the largest pure electric crawler crane from SANY, STR50E, the industry’s first 5-ton all-electric roller, and the SCM500E-10, an electric milling machine tailored for European operations.

The exhibition will also feature six excavators equipped with two-piece booms, extended arms, and specialised attachments. Among them are the SY10U, SANY’s first 1-ton micro excavator, the SY26C, a 3.5-ton short-tail model compliant with Euro V emissions, and the SY155U, a 15-ton short-tail excavator. Other highlights include SANY’s first compact electric 6-meter telehandler STH625E, specifically designed for European markets, and a 40-ton material handler, developed to meet the region’s growing material handling demands.

Enhancing visitor experience with digital innovation

SANY’s booth will feature technological showcases designed to highlight its expertise in digital operations.

Visitors will have the opportunity to engage with two standout interactive features:

  • 'Remote Control Over Thousands of Miles,' which enables the remote operation of unmanned mining excavators from Munich to Huzhou, China, setting a new distance record for SANY.

  • 'Construction Simulation Game,' offering a hands-on experience of Construction Simulator 3, seamlessly integrating SANY’s equipment control with gaming technology.

Additionally, SANY will present a comprehensive selection of parts and services, including 18 key components such as hydraulic and wear parts, giving attendees insight into the company’s robust service and parts supply capabilities.

With dedicated spaces for its Potain and Grove brands, the exhibit will highlight how these services enhance efficiency, productivity, and equipment longevity.

Comprehensive support for Potain customers

Six interactive stations will showcase Potain’s customer support offerings, featuring genuine spare parts such as lighting and cameras mounted on cranes in the outdoor display area. These demonstrate the value of OEM-approved components, including extended service life, warranty coverage, and cost savings. Visitors can witness live demonstrations of Potain’s BCS camera, the newly introduced ProTECHtor technician safety device, and an upgraded hydraulic tool for mast pin insertion and removal.

At the Potain CONNECT display, attendees can explore how the new Assist smartphone app streamlines data retrieval and remote troubleshooting without requiring WiFi or advanced connectivity. A vintage service vehicle will add a nostalgic touch, celebrating Potain’s longstanding commitment to customer support. Manitowoc will also highlight online technical resources like the Kolus video assistant, which provides remote fault resolution without needing an on-site technician.

The Potain Academy display will demonstrate how crane operators and technicians can enhance their skills through in-person training or the e-Academy digital platform. Additional sections will focus on rental services, offering crane leasing options, and used cranes, where buyers can browse available inventory online. Manitowoc’s EnCORE programme will be showcased as a cost-effective refurbishment solution, extending crane lifespans while ensuring peak performance. For customers needing specialised modifications, the Lift Solutions station will provide insights into tailored crane adjustments for specific project needs.

Extensive offerings for mobile crane owners

Grove mobile crane owners will find a dedicated outdoor exhibit on maintenance services, along with details on the Grove EnCORE programme and its latest success stories. Visitors can also explore the Grove Remanufacturing programme, which offers expertly reconditioned components to enhance cost-effectiveness and equipment reliability.

Live demonstrations of Grove CONNECT will illustrate how telematics technology quickly identifies and resolves faults, ensuring minimal downtime. Additionally, the CRANEbee lift-planning tool at the CRANIMAX area will showcase how 3D modeling optimises crane selection for specific projects, leading to significant cost and efficiency savings. Manitowoc’s training experts will also be available to discuss the company’s global training facilities, which provide industry-leading instruction.

Visitors can explore nearly 100 machines firsthand and experience, for the first time, nine live demonstrations. The Wirtgen Group has also been shortlisted for the bauma Innovation Award in two categories.

The company will present a range of innovative concrete solutions aimed at tackling key industry challenges, including skilled labor shortages, stringent quality requirements, project documentation, and efficiency improvements.

The Technology Zone will spotlight digital innovations, including the John Deere Operations Center for Construction, a centralised platform for jobsite management. Visitors will also get an exclusive look at the new Wirtgen Group Performance Tracker (WPT) Paving, WPT Compacting, WPT Recycling, and WPT Crushing. These solutions provide real-time performance insights, ensuring enhanced machine utilisation and productivity.

Highlighting smart production systems and award-nominated innovations

The Smart Production System approach integrates the best procedures, digital systems, and machine combinations for optimal efficiency. Attendees can explore cutting-edge machine-trains for applications such as asphalt paving at reduced temperatures, soil stabilisation, and materials processing.

A key highlight is the ‘Production System for a Construction Site with Zero Local Emissions,’ nominated for the bauma Innovation Award in the Climate Protection category. This system, featuring battery-powered milling machines, pavers, and rollers, allows road construction projects to be completed with zero operational emissions.

Another standout innovation is ‘Smart Automation in Roadbuilding,’ a finalist for the bauma Innovation Award in the Digitalization category. This technology automates asphalt removal and paving, ensuring precise results with higher efficiency and reduced resource consumption.

World premieres across all product brands

  • Wirtgen: Debut of the W 250 XF, the brand’s most powerful large milling machine, and a new generation of wheeled cold recyclers and soil stabilizers.

  • Vögele: Expansion of the Dash 5 series, featuring the new SUPER 1803-5 X-Tier wheeled paver and the MT 3000-5 material feeder.

  • Hamm: Introduction of the HD 10 – HD 12 G-Tier and HD 90 – HD 110 P-Tier tandem rollers, alongside automated compaction solutions like the HC 130i C VA compactor.

  • Kleemann: First-ever PRO line screening plant for natural stone processing.

  • Benninghoven: Presentation of the MULTI JET burner, capable of running on 100% green hydrogen for sustainable asphalt production.

Saint-Gobain Africa has renewed its commitment to the continent through a new initiative dubbed, Make it in Africa to Build Africa (MABA)

“Make it in Africa to Build Africa is our drive and the lens through which we view everything we do," said CEO Othman Benjelloun-Touimi.

"It’s about partnering with all construction market stakeholders to build a sustainable Africa from within, where local solutions meet local needs, reinforcing our belief in the potential of African markets and communities."

The new Africa initiative is an extension of the main group’s purpose, Making the World a Better Home, and underscores a dedication to empowering the continent by prioritising local production, nurturing local talent and encouraging economic growth within the industry, according to Benjelloun-Touimi.

He noted that MABA is based on four main pillars, each linked to specific examples of how Saint-Gobain aims at bringing all partners and stakeholders along in building Africa.

Sustainability: 

In line with this commitment, Saint-Gobain Africa is introducing The FutuRE range; a new selection of sustainable construction solutions designed to enhance efficiency and minimise environmental impact, while maintaining the same cost. The range includes RhinoBoard 9 mm, RhinoBoard 12.5 mm, RhinoBoard FireStop (12.5 & 15 mm), Isover Cavitylite, and Weber WB11, each with a third-party verified Environmental Product Declaration (EPD) and a positive contribution to at least one strategic sustainability criteria such as a minimum of 10% reduction in CO2.

Local production: 

By investing in local manufacturing and expanding production lines, the company aims at reducing dependency on imports, creating jobs and driving economic growth. In line with this commitment, the opening of its new South African fibre cement plant in Q3 2025 marks a major milestone, creating more than 60 permanent jobs in its first phase.

People:
