Inchcape Shipping Services (ISS) has expanded its operations into Mauritius by adding Port Louis-based Belship Co Ltd to its growing portfolio

The international maritime services provider, who has renamed its latest acquisition ISS Belship, will now offer marine and offshore agency services, along with logistics and freight forwarding services, to customers in the region.

In a statement, ISS said, “Mauritius is viewed as an increasingly strategic location that is well situated on major shipping lanes.”

The acquisition marked ISS’s seventh opening this year and expanded the number of offices it operates globally to 280 facilities in 65 countries.

Allan Vermaak, vice president of special projects at ISS, said, “We are very pleased to open ISS Belship in Mauritius, not only to further our expansion in the region, but to support our clients with our extensive range of integrated maritime, cargo and vessel supply chain solutions, developed to maximise efficiencies within their operations and improve business performance and profitability.”
