South Africa’s Cape Town International Airport is preparing for an upgrade of its domestic and international terminal, and realignment of its runway
According to the Airports Company South Africa (ACSA), US$635mn has been allocated for expansion and improvement of South Africa’s airports, and the Cape Town International Airport overhaul is one of the organisation’s key projects.
ACSA spokesperson Collin Naidoo said the upgrades will be carried out over a period of three years.
More than 38mn passengers move through South Africa’s nine major airports, and ACSA’s newest model is aimed at improving functionality in all of them.
