Equipment provider Powerscreen has delivered a Powerscreen Warrior 1400X mobile screen to South Africa’s TG Trucking for screening and producing material in gold plants

TG Trucking, a customer of South African ELB Equipment, took delivery of the track mobile scalping screen in May 2015 and has been using it since to screen and produce material for gold plants that are located in the East Rand area of South Africa, said Powerscreen officials.

Presently, companies in the area are recycling redundant gold dumps that have been around for almost 100 years as some gold that’s yet to be recovered, was discovered.

TG Trucking is assisting with the screening of products, to recover the gold. In addition, the company produces its own material like the -53mm quartzite stone to produce G5 material and -63mm quartzite stone to produce G6 material.

TG Trucking founder Tony Guerra said, “I am very impressed with the Powerscreen Warrior 1400X screen and the service I have received from ELB. The machine is easy to operate, easy to move and having achieved an output of 360 tph, I am very happy with its operating speed. I would highly recommend this machine to anyone in the industry who wishes to invest in a screening plant. It is helping my business to grow without compromising working ethics and principles.”

Powerscreen product manager Oliver Donnelly explained that the Warrior 1400X screen was designed and built on the foundation of its predecessor, the Warrior 1400. Given the abrasive nature of quartzite stone, the Warrior 1400X screen is an ideal choice, with its high specification belts and wear-resistant hopper plates that can handle abrasive material with minimum wear.

The Warrior 1400X screen offers improved performance, lower operating costs and easier serviceability. It consumes less fuel, mainly achieved through a lower engine running speed of 180 rpm as well as enhanced hydraulics. The range of media solutions available with this machine points to its efficiency in scalping, screening and recycling applications, added Donnelly.
