Hydraform, a manufacturer of brick and block making machinery, exhibited a comprehensive range of its products at BAUMA CONEXPO AFRICA

The South Africa-based company displayed its V4 block and brick machine, as well as its M7Mi Super machine for making interlocking blocks. Also on display were complementary accessories, and the exhibit was completed with Hydraform’s interlocking building system.

Explaining the reason behind exhibiting at the show, Steven Tucker, sales manager for Hydraform, said, “This is all about educating the market on the Hydraform interlocking building system, meeting existing and prospective clients, and also networking with key decision-makers and role players in the affordable housing market.”

Tucker also said that the company brings to the market its knowledge of economically viable and durable construction methods that use locally available materials.

“Hydraform is in a unique position to provide a fresh and exciting look at housing, not only with its technical expertise on the workings of the machinery, but also with its knowledge of, and available training for, the use of an economically viable, durable construction method that uses locally available material. Modernising too quickly can cause complexities and often does not work successfully in the rural context. Hydraform has a firm grasp of this contextual conundrum and is able to answer to it with its highly adaptable machinery and systems,” said Tucker.

The company also wants to increase awareness against the use of untested and unsafe products which are increasingly available in South Africa, its primary market.
