Zest WEG Group subsidiary EnI Electrical has secured a contract to service the Maseve platinum mine

The electrical construction company made the announcement earlier this month that it had been chosen by DRA, the main EPCM (engineering, procurement and construction management) contractor for the WBJV Project 1 mine in South Africa.

EnI’s managing director Trevor Naudé said the contract, which entails the provision of mill motors and electrical panels to the mine, represented a major coup for the company, which opened a new branch in Rustenburg in 2014 to target the region’s platinum mining industry.

“Not only is EnI Electrical optimistic at the overall outlook for 2015, but we are positive about the continued activity in the South African mining industry as a whole,” said Naudé. “The Zest WEG Group will target the mining industry aggressively, as we have the level of excellence necessary to sustain new business and successfully deliver such turnkey projects.”

Maseve is South Africa’s first Greenfield platinum mine.
