Business magnate and the richest man in the continent, Aliko Dangote, has acquired Africas largest crane after purchasing it from Chinas leading construction company, XCMG Construction Machinery

Dangote purchased the 1,250 tonnes crane, which was assembled in Nigeria by XCMG Construction Machinery Co, and was announced by Barbaric on 25 March.

In an interview with leadership, assistant president and general manager of XCMG Construction Machinery Co, Hanson Liu, announced that they were conducting business across the continent.

He said that Dangote was the company's largest customer and that XCMG had sold about 5000 units of various kinds of products to customers in Africa in 2016.

“We dispatch our stationaries through Tanzania and working with some big customers like Dangote. We presently have about 24 employees in service working with Dangote full time in Nigeria,” he said.

Lui went on the comment on that working with some African countries had not been without its problems and that they had plans to invest further into the continent in the future.

“In some countries, we cannot easily transfer money due to financial restriction there. Also it's not easy to exchange currency. And some countries have security issues which make us a bit nervous,” he added.
