Construction equipment manufacturer CAT has launched the new CAT TH414C GC and TH417C GC telehandlers, designed for rental-fleet operators in Africa and the Middle East
Telehandlers are used extensively in agriculture and heavy industries. CAT’s new range of telehandlers have low operating costs, require simple maintenance, are reliable and easy to operate, the company said.
The TH414C GC and TH417C GC have rated load capacities of 3,600kg and 4,000kg, and can lift up to heights of 13.85 metres and 17 metres respectively.
The GC telehandlers use a four-cylinder, 3.6 litre engine with a power rating of 74MW. They are highly fuel-efficient and are equipped with maintenance-free diesel oxidation catalysts. The engine meets EU IIIB and IIIA standards, company officials added.
Being equipped with 3F/3R power-shift transmission, the machine can shift gears easily, provide the operator a good amount of control and load retention as well. In addition, dual-axle braking through oil-immersed disc brakes allow the machine to stop at the operator's ease. The front brakes also serve as parking brakes.
One of the main features on CAT’s new telehandler is the Integrated Tool Carrier, which is compatible with other CAT telehandler models and can accommodate standard and side-shift carriages, general purpose and light material buckets.
The machines also come with a built-in deterrent system, which requires operators to enter a code to start using the machine.
