BIA, a Belgium-based company, is now the official distributor of a select range of Cummins’ products in Congo, DR Congo, Cameroon, Central African Republic, Chad, Togo, Benin, Burkina Faso and Côte d’Ivoire

This is especially noteworthy, considering the limited levels of industrialisation towards the western parts of Africa. BIA Africa general manager Eric Perben stated that the partnership will include distribution of engines, generators and filtration units.

Cummins Power Generation (CPG) builds and assembles 2.5 kVA generators up to more than 2700 kVA. BIA will handle diesel engines up to 2.6MW and Cummins Fleetguard air and liquid filtration systems, exhaust systems, cooling fluids, and chemical technologies for engines and engine systems.

Cummins also manufactures filters that allow engines to operate at their maximum capacity, which increases their availability, cuts costs, and reduces environmental impact and BIA is the official dealer for Cummins Fleetguard filter systems over its entire territory.
