Bobcat has launched a new family of dipper stick mounted Hydraulic Clamp attachments for the company’s range of mini-excavators from 1 to 6 tonnes.
Exclusive to Bobcat, the new easy-to-mount hydraulic clamps are available in long and short versions to fit Bobcat buckets mounted on excavators with Pin ‐ on, Klac or Lehnhoff attachment systems.
Intended for use in construction, demolition, landscaping and the equipment rental industry, the hydraulic clamps are designed for any application involving the picking and placing of objects with Bobcat mini-excavators. When used with a trenching bucket, the hydraulic clamp functions like a human thumb, allowing the operator to grasp, lift and place broken concrete and asphalt, tree stumps, stone blocks and other objects, with great speed and accuracy.
Available in a wide range of sizes with operating weights from 27 to 115 kg, the new clamp attachments are painted orange to enhance visibility when they are being used. When not in use, they can be fully extended so they can be moved out of the way. The fact that the hydraulic clamps do not need to be dismounted, coupled with the increased versatility and utilisation they offer, ensures that the hydraulic clamps are an added value attachment particularly for the rental industry.
Hydraulic clamps provide operational advantages in demolition and road repair, for picking up debris and loading it into waiting trucks and trailers. They are also useful in landscape construction for clean up operations or the placement of boulders and stones in feature work.
The hydraulic clamps are supplied in kit form and comprise a grapple for clamping, a hydraulic cylinder, the hoses needed for hook-up and the pins required to install the clamp on the excavator.
