Bell Equipment is investing a large amount of capital into establishing two centres to remanufacture components for customers
Bell Equipment’s Manager of Group Technical Services, Ryan Bland said that the first phase of the centres, which are known as Bell Re-Man Centres, has seen the establishment of a facility near the company’s head office in Richards Bay, in South Africa, which will focus on high tech components such as engine’s and transmission components. A second facility at Bell’s Jet Park complex in Johannesburg will specialise in basic components like transfer cases, differentials, pumps and cylinders.
“Economic times are tough for customers across the various industries we serve and our experience has shown that customers are increasingly turning to potentially dangerous grey parts, which are generally cheaper than Bell Genuine Parts, which have been manufactured within our Bell supply chain," said Bland. "With our remanufactured parts we aim to provide our customers with an affordable alternative to these grey parts, offering them protection and peace of mind while also protecting the integrity of our Bell brand.
"Through our Re-Man centres we will be able to offer remanufactured parts to our customers at a 15 per cent to 30 per cent discount compared with new parts, but with the same 12-month warranty currently available on our new parts. In addition customers will be able to choose whether to replace parts with new Bell Genuine Parts or with Bell remanufactured parts when their machines are serviced and repaired.
“A defining part of Bell Equipment’s success over the decades has been due to its ability to offer customers professional and efficient after sales support, particularly technical support, through its extensive network of Bell Customer Service Centres throughout South Africa and Africa. Our Bell Re-Man centres take this support one step further and show our commitment to our customers and our products."
