Zimbabwe health training institutions receive ICT equipment

The International Organization for Migration (IOM) Zimbabwe with the support of the European Union (EU) and the Japanese government have handed over equipment worth over $100,000 to the University of Zimbabwe College of Health Sciences, the National University of Science and Technology (NUST) medical school and ten Zimbabwe Association of Church Related Hospitals (ZACH) nurse training schools.

According to Yukiko Kumashiro, IOM Programme Support Officer, the donation has been made in an effort to mitigate the negative effects of migration as well as contribute to the rebuilding of the country's health sector.

The donation includes an assortment of ICT equipment which includes computers,laptops,printers and LCD projectors and various teaching aids and human body models, wheel chairs, dressing trolleys, bedside lockers and various other medical equipment.
