Genesis Energy has won the 2015 Nigeria Entrepreneur Award in the category of an “Organisation making a difference in Nigeria”

Genesis Energy CEO Akinwole Omoboriowo II said, “This is a glorious moment for both Genesis and our dear customers who make it possible for us to continue to serve them innovatively and sustainably despite the enormity of the challenges encountered in providing uninterrupted, competitive and clean independent electric power solutions in Africa in general, and in Nigeria in particular.

“We dedicate this award to our tireless team members, the Nigerian government which has enabled a vibrant private sector-led power market in the country, and to communities that make it possible for Genesis to deliver on its Vision of Lighting up Africa One Community at a time.”

The Nigeria Entrepreneur Award is a recognised business award that honours the country’s entrepreneurs, business leaders, organisations and heads of government.

Genesis Energy was nominated to receive this award following a research and public opinion poll conducted between April and August 2015.
