Parker Hannifin Corporation has signed a strategic partnership agreement with Bearing Man Group (BMG), as part of a deal to increase the availability of products and customer support for both companies throughout South Africa and the wider sub-Saharan African region
The agreement between motion and control technologies company Parker Hannifin and engineering firm BMG was signed at BMG Park in Johannesburg, South Africa, a day before the start of the inaugural bauma Africa exhibition, at which Parker Hannifin exhibited.
The new strategic partnership will provide a guaranteed supply of Parker pneumatic, hydraulic, filtration and instrumentation components and systems to key accounts and end users, in industries including mining, manufacturing, process, transport, construction and logistics.
Parker Hannifin President for Europe, the Middle East and Africa, Charly Saulnier, said, “Our strategic partnership with BMG will enable us to reach new markets, while giving BMG fast access to our extensive portfolio of products and technologies, from a single source."
Parker distribution network currently extends to more than 13,000 locations worldwide with
more than 2000 ParkerStore locations sited internationally. According to Saulnier, the agreement represents "a great leap forward" as the company looks to increase its presence in the South African market.
Gavin Pelser, executive director of BMG, remarked, "This strategic partnership enhances the range of products and solutions that BMG offers to our customers in sub-Saharan Africa and is in line with BMG’s strategy to partner with world leaders such as Parker Hannifin.
