Software company Temenos said it will welcome speakers to the "Bank of the Future" forum in Abidjan, Côte dIvoire to discuss software solutions for digitising financial services
The event will be held at the Sofitel Hotel Ivoire on 20 March 2018.
According to a report by consulting firm McKinsey, retail banking in Africa is the second-fastest-growing in the world with the potential to add about 150mn users in five years.
Fully digital upstarts such as South Africa's Tyme Bank and Alat in Nigeria are beginning to appeal to enthusiastic customers, disrupting a sector which has been dominated by legacy companies.
“There are many ways and no shortage of opinions on how to become digital and the journey in many cases will be painful,” said Ivan van Bladel, director for French speaking Africa at Temenos.
