The organisers of Propak East Africa, the packaging, printing and plastics exhibition, are expecting 50 per cent growth compared to last year
The event will be held at the KICC in Nairobi from the 7-9 March 2017. It will host international brands in packaging including Ishida and Krones, alongside local brands such as Statpak Industries and KEP Services. The organisers have reported 60 per cent of the space has already sold out.
The previous year, Propak East Africa attracted 90 companies and 2,235 visitors from 38 countries. The organisers estimate more than 120 exhibitors and more than 3,000 visitors at Propak East Africa 2017.
Commenting on the event, Institute of Packaging Professionals Kenya secretary general Joseph Nyongesa said, “Packaging has been the missing link in Eastern Africa. Propak East Africa supports the region to bridge the gap and realises the social economic aspirations of creating employment and generating wealth. The exhibition brings technology, networking, skill and competencies to the region in a visual and impactful way.”
The event will also incorporate Propak East Africa Conference, which will see renowned speakers discuss topics including market overview, innovation and safety.
