The 13th edition of the Card, ATM & Mobile Expo Africa 2013 will be held from 11-15 June 2013 in Lagos, Nigeria
The event, which will have ‘Shared Services: Optimising Payment Systems in Africa’ as its theme, will aim at showcasing product innovations and forging lucrative business relationships.
The three-day expo will involve several brainstorming sessions to explore ways of addressing issues being faced by the African epayment industry.
More than 50 exhibitors from all over the world will take part in the event this year to showcase their latest technologies and solutions.
Conferences and discussions at the show will cover topics like ebanking, mobile payments, POS and ATM technologies. Cocktail dinners and award ceremonies will also be important features at the Card, ATM & Mobile Expo.
Show organisers Intermarc Consulting said, “For the past few years, the focus across the continent has remained on how to leverage on infrastructure at reasonable cost so that card and epayment benefits reach consumers who complain about high cost of transaction. In order to maximise the potential benefits of epayment, the concept of shared services has been adopted in most other continents like United Kingdom, Asia and Europe.
“We are also seeing similar trends in South Africa. The concept is gaining ground in the rest of Africa.”
