IFAT impact digital business summit, to be held from 8-10 September 2020, will focus on the environmental technologies used in chemical, food, construction and related sectors

The three-day IFAT impact Business Summit will bring together the global environmental industry and its customers. Participation is free of charge for visitors and the platform will go live at the end of August.

Stefan Rummel, managing director of Messe München, explained, “For the first time, we will bring the international IFAT network together digitally. We want to show new perspectives in the COVID-19 pandemic and test new, innovative formats.”

“The demand for environmental technologies in the fields of water, sewage, waste and raw materials management will continue to grow in the future. Municipalities and industries around the globe are being encouraged to use resources sustainably, not least through political initiatives such as the European Green Deal and the Five-Year Plan in China.”

Providing a wide range of information on products and solutions

The Business Summit’s foundation is the approximately 3,300 companies that have registered for IFAT in Munich—around half of which come from international markets. All of them are listed in the exhibitor portal. During the Business Summit, many exhibitors, including start-ups, will also offer digital product presentations and one-on-one meetings.

In addition to these interactive networking opportunities, the participants will have the opportunity to enjoy a live stream of the extensive conference programme with valuable insights into international markets and trending topics such as artificial intelligence. There will be the solution tours: moderated presentations focusing on individual problems in recycling, water supply or clean air.

The platform’s summit planner will help participants put together an individual programme for the three days and book presentations and appointments with exhibitors. The participation is free of charge. It is worthwhile to start planning already at the end of August when the platform goes live. The programme will be continuously expanded until the summit’s start.
