The Cairo Exhibition Centre will host The Big 5 Construction Egypt for the first time from 15 to 17 September 2018, to bring together influential decision-makers and exhibitors in the construction business to showcase their innovative products, technologies and services
With US$473bn worth of active projects in the entire region, and majority of them in Egypt, the Big 5 event is expected be an indispensable part and add more value to the country’s booming construction market.
The mega event, organised by the leading international exhibition company dmg events Middle East, Asia and Africa, is expected more than 70 per cent international attendees in Cairo.
“With US$140bn worth of projects awarded and due for construction, Egypt, and its 93mn people, represents a market with huge potential for the industry," said Andy White, senior vice president, Construction at dmg events.
According to him, the investment in the Egyptial construction market include Capital City project worth US$45bn, housing projects worth US$51.2bn and metro system worth US$3.5bn.
The event will coordinate CPD certified workshops to explore the key issues of Egyptian construction market. In addition, there will be seminars and live demonstrations to show practical challenges and innovative solutions in the construction market.
The Big 5 Construction Egypt will also provide free-to-attend educational programs for professional audience of architects, engineers, contractors, developers to gain and advance their knowledge on the construction field.
Successfully run in Dubai for more than 30 years, The Big 5 is looking forward to rapidly expanding its brand value in the African continent. The organisers successfully launched The Big 5 Construction East African in Kenya last November and The Big 5 Construction North Africa in April 2017. Over the last six years this strategy has seen the Big 5 events rolled out in Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, India, Indonesia, East Africa and North Africa.
