The 2015 edition of bauma ConExpo Africa — international trade fair for construction machinery, building material machines, mining machines and construction vehicles — will be held at a different and bigger venue from 15-18 September
According to the organisers, the Johannesburg Expo Centre (JEC)meets the logistical and infrastructural requirements of a construction machinery and mining machines trade fair. In addition to this, JEC also provides exhibitors and visitors ample parking space and five-star facilities, they added.
Elaine Crewe, CEO of bauma ConExpo, South Africa, said, “The Johannesburg Expo Centre is one of the largest trade fair venues in Africa. If required, there are over 50,000 sq m of fully equipped hall space and around 60,000 sq m of outdoor exhibition space available. Therefore, the fair has the opportunity to grow.”
The venue also has round-the-clock security, is easily accessible by Johannesburg’s major arterial highways and lies within 30 minutes from OR Tambo International Airport.
The premiere of bauma Africa in September 2013 had attracted 754 exhibitors from 38 countries and 14,700 visitors from over 100 countries. Covering a total of 60,000 sq m of exhibition space, this is the biggest event for the sector in Africa.
