Green Fuel, a company operating in Zimbabwe is reported to be
establishing a billion dollar ethanol plant to be one of the biggest
in Africa.

Chisumbanje in Chipinge, Zimbabwe.
lt is reported that the initiative is anticipated to create
approximately 7,000 jobs and will meet 20 per cent of the country's total fuel
requirements. The project is expected to have been established by March
2011. lt is also expected to produce 100mn l of ethanol per annum.
About 10,000 hectares have been set aside for local farmers to be
