Morocco’s spotlight on renewables

First trade fair for renewable energy on Moroccan soil

 

The first trade fair for renewable energy to take place in Morocca is being held between 11 and 15 October 2011 in Casablanca at the Parc des Expositions Route d’El Jadida, in parallel with Electricity & Energy Expo. The prospects for the success of Enerexpo Maroc are good, thanks in part to a major national solar energy plan, as part of Desertec, an initiative with significant multinational commitment.


At the 'Renewable Energy in Morocco' conference - held in January this year in Hamburg, Germany, and attended by the Moroccan Minister of Energy, Mrs Amina Benkhadra - the importance of the Desertec project was underlined for the whole of North Africa and Europe.
