VISA SpA has received contract to supply various diesel generators in a 169.000 sqm residential district in Prague, consisting of five areas such as Aviatica, Mechanica I, Mechanica II, Walter and Dynamica

Johnson & Johnson owns the Onis Visa generating sets installed in the “Mechanica I” building.

According to the company, the generating sets are installed to ensure emergency power sources and cover the load of the entire building complex, including the data centre of Johnson & Johnson server room. The gensets operate automatically in case of power failure, aiming to prevent any loss of data or functionality.

The generating sets are equipped with Iveco and Doosan diesel engines, Marelli alternators and Onis Visa Guard Touch automatic control panels. All units are equipped with an oversized 2500 LT fuel tank.

The Onis Visa Distributor in Czech Republic provided the genset installation, as well as the design, delivery and installation of the central control system for the power supply in main distribution panels, said the company.

Due to the low-level noise requirements in the area, second stage exhaust silencers were added to all the gensets, which aims to safeguard the maximum noise level to 55dB at seven metre at full load.

“All units are placed on the building roof complying with the strict local security and fire protection requirements, as well as with the customer’s indications. Long autonomy operation is provided by the 2500 Lt oversized fuel tanks, while the base frame structure prevents any liquid leakages,” the company noted.

The gensets are also connected to the automatic refuelling system which contains fuel filling point for the fuel tank track, double skinned storage tank, double skinned fully monitored piping system and a control system to operate the fuel system.

“The system visualises the complete hydraulic diagram, including the status of all sensors, valves, pumps, and fuel tank levels,” said the company.

Visa SpA is an Italian generating set manufacturer present in the market for more than 50 years. The company provides customised genset solutions and support design and installation phases through its network of distributors and dealers.
