BUTEC Group acquires energy services activities of ENGIE Africa

The BUTEC Group announces signing of an agreement for the acquisition of all 17 companies of the ENGIE Group in Africa

All these companies are operating in the fields of energy efficiency, maintenance, ventilation and air conditioning, green mobility, multi technical and facility management. 

Ziad Younes, chairman of the board of directors of the BUTEC Group, commented, "The acquisition of the 'Energy Services' activities of the ENGIE Group in Africa is perfectly in line with the continuity of the growth strategy of the BUTEC Group, thanks to the geographical expansion it allows on the continent, a buoyant market where BUTEC is already present, and to the addition of the know-how and business expertise of the existing teams which will complement the activities of "Energy Services" of the group. We are confident that the teams of the acquired companies will quickly integrate and find their place in the strong corporate culture of BUTEC, built on a long history of success shared by the company, its shareholders, its employees and its customers."

These activities are carried out in more than fifteen countries by more than 1,500 employees, and are carried out mainly by ENGIE Services Morocco, ENGIE Services Côte d'Ivoire (Tieri) and Afric Power in Côte d'Ivoire, ENGIE Burkina Faso and ENGIE Ampair / Thermal in South Africa.
