Schneider Electric and Amtec Techniquip extend training partnership

Schneider Electric and Amtec Techniquip, a South African manufacturer of quality educational engineering equipment, have strenghthened their partnership, with Amtec Techniquip now extending its Schneider Electric didactic benches to include renewable energy (solar PV) benches

Funded by the Schneider Electric Foundation, the partnership has since its inception, accelerated access to education through the provision of state-of-the-art training equipment to tertiary institutions such as locally manufactured didactic benches incorporating high-quality Schneider Electric equipment, that bridge the gap between theory and practice and form a critical part of vocational training. The Schneider Electric Foundation aims to train one million students in energy by 2025.

Amtec Techniquip and Schneider Electric have recently delivered the 50th training bench, and have have in the last four years solidified relationships with important educational facilities including F’SASEC (French Southern African Schneider Electric Education Centre) network partners, providing these institutions with didactic benches.

Amtec Techniquip also provides customised didactic benches to training organisations and industry which provide training to their own staff. The Schneider Electric benches, available to educational institutions, include Domestic Wiring Solutions, Industrial Wiring Solution, Industrial Automation Solution, Home Automation Bench and Solar Solution.

“While high-quality education equipment is important, it must also be aligned with the curriculum to ensure that when the students enter the workplace they are prepared to deal with everyday challenges,” commented DL Steyl, project manager - Access to Education, Sustainable Development & Academy at Schneider Electric.

The Schneider Electric/Amtec Techniquip partnership has in the last four grown beyond South Africa’s borders to include Anglophone countries such as Malawi, Mozambique and Tanzania.
