Iveco, Italian industrial vehicle manufacturer, has announced to launch its on- and off-road range, Stralis X-Way, in Africa and the Middle East
According to Iveco, the Stralis X-Way aims to raise the stakes in light off-road missions with the biggest payload in its segment. Combining Iveco’s fuel-efficiency and safety technologies, it focuses on delivering high productivity with low total cost of operation.
Integrating Iveco’s features for on-road missions, the Stralis X-Way has been designed aiming to enhance fuel economy and sustainability.
“These include state-of-the-art systems which integrates driving assistance functions such as economy power or EcoSwitch funtionality, adaptative cruise control, ESP and lane departure warning system (LDWS),” the company added.
In addition, the Stralis X-Way focuses on providing comfort of the AS cabin, which has been designed around the driver for the long-haul missions of the Stralis.
The modular, mission-oriented approach of the Stralis X-Way further aims to provide flexibility in customising to the specific requirements of a wide variety of applications. It offers a choice of artic and rigid versions, different axles, suspensions, vehicle setups, engines and transmissions, noted Iveco.
Iveco provides both the off-road construction segment such as tippers, pumps and cement mixers with the ‘Trakker’ and the ‘Astra’ models and the on-road segment for the long haulage distribution with the ‘Performer’ and the ‘Stralis,’ for a variety of industries ranging from mining and quarry, construction, logistics and transport, municipality and tenders.
