Cometto, the specialist for self-propelled, modular and special industrial vehicles, has launched the MGSL modular axle lines, for public roads, off-road transport as well as for inside plant operations to move heavyweight goods

For the kinds of transport jobs with highest payloads from 50 tonnes up to 5,000 tonnes, Cometto’s new product range aims to ease the challenging transport services.

“With this modular vehicle type, transport companies can reach the highest flexibility in use for the most different and difficult fields of activity,” said the company.

Cometto further noted that the MGSL can effectively reach point loads up to 50,000kg above the wheel arches and 80,000kg above cross members for heavy and concentrated loads.

In addition, each axle line has a technical axle load at 0.5km per hour from 45,000 kg, according to Cometto.

The axle compensation focuses on making an ideal load distribution. The maneuverability is supported by pendulum axles with a stroke of 600mm and the pivot-mounted bogie with a 60 degree steering angle.

Road inclinations, both lengthwise and crosswise, can be compensated with the important stroke on the cylinders. Pendulum axles aim to ensure optimum ground contact and equal tire pressure under the difficult circumstances, with keeping the platform in a horizontal level, said the company.
