Bauer group’s “Schrobenhausener Tage” symposium, hosted in mid-May in Schrobenhausen, was successful with approximately 250 customers, partners and friends of the company participating from all over the Germany
The conference held presentations and talk sessions by the chairman, members of the management board and managing director of the company.
The speakers from Berlin, Munich, Zurich and Frankfurt am Main stressed that excellent collaboration between building developers and contractors is an essential prerequisite for successful projects, especially in hard-to-access locations or contaminated sites.
Highlighting the slogan of “The world is our market,” the conference presented the international projects and the various types of challenges faced during the actual construction task. These included the local climate, whether the climate is extremely hot or cold and the risk of heavy storm that play a crucial role in building projects in Sydney, the Northwest Territories of Canada and off the coast of Scotland.
The conference also had presentations on Bauer’s technical innovations and the use of building information modelling (BIM). Walter Haus, member of the management board and head of the domestic business unit at Bauer, presented on ground improvement. According to him, ground improvement is becoming increasingly important as demographic structures change.
Dieter Stetter, managing director of Bauer Maschinen GmbH, presented the latest product developments in the equipment segment.
Apart from the presentations, the attendees had the opportunity to see innovations first hand and get an up-close look at the machines during a tour of the in-house exhibition area.
During the end of the event, Thomas Bauer, the chairman of the management board of Bauer AG, held an evening talk show entitled "A shift in values is shaping companies and markets.” He stressed that values for a company should be managed well and everyone should take the responsibilities for collaboration to be successful.
