Global digital learning technology solutions provider Atlas Knowledge Group has won a 12-month contract with a leading building materials company in Uganda
Lafarge Uganda, a member of LafargeHolcim, the global market leader specialising in cement, construction aggregates and concrete has been in talks with Atlas to provide health and safety training to its workforce.
The new deal will enable Atlas to make eight of its health and safety courses accessible to around 800 Lafarge personnel at the company’s new purpose built digital training facility, the company said.
The programme, which is set to start this month, will feature modules on mechanical joint integrity, working at height, confined space entry and noise awareness.
“Like our other clients, the team at Lafarge Uganda wish to ensure their people remain safe and risk-free at work. Engage is proving to be a very successful platform for companies to maintain an individual’s and organisation’s training documents as it is compatible with any device, through an app and on any Internet browser,” said Atlas' commercial director Kevin Short.
“This flexibility is really important in countries which are remote and where the workforce can be spread out across multiple locations.”
