Hatz launches four-cylinder engine with sound insulation

Hatz Diesel has launched their four-cylinder diesel engine, Hatz 4H50TIC, with a newly developed ‘Silent Pack’

The Hatz 4H50TIC Silent Pack, specially developed for the Hatz 4H50TIC engine, provides a reduction of the noise emission by 4 decibel despite the cooler fan. According to the company, this makes the engine 60 per cent less noisy compared to the non-capsulated Open Power Unit (OPU).

The Hatz 4H50TIC engines insulated with Silent Pack provide all the features of the non-capsulated Hatz four-cylinder diesel engine. According to the company, during the development of the Silent Pack version, the engineers ensured that the installation dimensions were as small as possible and retained engine access for maintenance. The high release temperature of the engine is identical to the non-capsulated version and the turbo charging gives enough buffer for applications in altitudes.

The sound insulation of the Hatz 4H50TIC Silent Pack is also an efficient weather and contact protection. This allows the engine to be operated in a machine where the diesel unit is open fitted, the company statement said.

The Hatz Open Power Unit (OPU) plug-and-play solution, which is also the base for the Hatz 4H50TIC Silent Pack, caters to equipment manufacturers who need complete ready-to-install engines. The main application areas include hydraulic lifts, hydraulic power units, forestry machinery, drilling rigs and stationary applications such as pumps and generators. Hatz claims that due to the integrated and optimised specification of the radiator, tubing and wiring of electronics, the OPU concept provides a tremendous ease of installation.
