Portable and industrial genset manufacturer, Pramac Ibérica, has demonstrated its commitment to markets in sub-Saharan Africa via its presence at two national trade shows

The Spanish company, which has been following a strategy of internationalisation and consolidation in emerging markets for its sector, was supported by its distributors Exonis at the International Fair of Luanda in Angola (FILDA) and Turbomar at the International Fair of Maputo in Mozambique (FACIM), which took place in July and August respectively.

Pramac Ibérica signed a contract for US$6.8mn, which will see it provide a range of 15-22 kVA power gensets, to ensure the supply of electricity to the communication towers of the Angolan major operators.

Andrés Granados, CEO of Pramac Ibérica, said, "This contract means consolidating the Pramac brand in a strategic sector such as telecoms and also in a strategic country in Angola, where it will continue to invest in the coming years."

Pramac Ibérica commercial director Ángel Cruz added, "This contract is the result of our good work over the past three years during which Pramac Ibérica has provided more than 1,200 gensets.

"The goal now is to implement our products in the telecoms sector of other markets such as Mozambique, Cape Verde and São Tomé."

Based in Murcia, Spain, Pramac Ibérica is a subsidiary of Italian multinational PR Industrial that serves the markets of Spain, Portugal and Lusophone Africa.
