Himoinsa has supplied, installed and commissioned the generator sets, while also providing support to the customer’s technicians
The Loanda Towers have become a symbol of the modern and cosmopolitan architecture now being constructed in Angola's capital, Luanda.
Himoinsa supplied two of the towers of the complex with four stand-by gensets that currently work around 7 hours a day. In the event of grid failure, the HTW 1260T5 and HTW 1745 T5 models are ready to work in parallel.
Himoinsa’s commercial director in Portugal Carlos Santos, stated that “as this is an urban zone, in order to ensure the minimum possible acoustic contamination, we have soundproofed the room that houses the gensets and fitted attenuators to its air intakes and outlets”.
This project has been headed by the engineering team at Himoina Portugal, together with Himoinsa Angola who managed the installation and the commissioning of the machines and the training of the customer's technicians. In addition to the four gensets, the company has set-up three 10,000 litre fuel tanks and all the connections and equipment needed for the installation.
