UAE aircraft company to begin operations in West Africa

Aircraft management and charter company Empire Aviation Group (EAG) is planning to open a permanent base in West Africa

The UAE-based company already has eight aeroplanes operating in Africa, and claims that the fleet is growing.

Steve Hartley, executive director of EAG specifically spoke about the potential of West Africa as an aviation hub and mentioned that Nigeria could be the first permanent base for the company. Nigeria has become the region’s biggest private jet market, ahead of South Africa and Angola, in line with the country’s recent economic boom.

EAG has a mixed fleet of 28 aeroplanes that includes Dassaults, Embraers, Gulfstreams and Bombardiers, after adding six aircraft in the past one year. The aircraft company plans to add a Gulfstream G650 and Falcon 8X as well.
