O ne of the most eagerly anticipated energy events on the annual calendar, Africa Energy Forum (aef) is being hosted this year in Cape Town, South Africa. For the first time in its 27-year history, aef will take place under the enchanting shadow of Table Mountain and in the heart of one of the most active energy development centres in Africa. The venue is the Cape Town International Convention Centre. Under the theme 'Africa United', aef provides a platform to bring African stakeholders together with a united voice and declare what Africa wants and needs to the world. This will also be the perfect opportunity to amplify the message from aef to the G20 meetings to be hosted by South Africa later this year. The continent’s priorities around energy access, climate resilience, and infrastructure financing are set to take centre stage in both the forum and the G20 agenda. This marks a strategic alignment of Africa’s voice with global decision-making. In addition to industry heavyweights and leaders from the power and finance sectors, aef also attracts high-level government speakers, state utility representatives, and delegates from across the continent.
