ExxonMobil has pioneered the use of made in Nigeria pipes in the oil and gas industry. And the company is set to deploy Helical Submerged Arc Welded (HSAW) pipes fabricated locally by SCC Pipe Mills for its Usari-Idoho pipeline replacement project in Akwa Ibom State.

Aker Solutions has been awarded a contract for the supply of an anodically protected, proprietary sulphuric acid cooler to Foskor Ltd, one of the worlds largest producers of phosphate and phosphoric acid. The acid cooler is a proprietary design of Aker Solutions and will be supplied to Foskors phosphoric acid facility in Richards Bay, South Africa.
